IF: Edge

If you go down to the woods today..

I'm a massive fan of John Howe's work so when I got one of his books for Christmas, I couldn't help but attempt a drawing in his style. Problem being that his sketches look a lot easier than they really are plus being left handed meant that I was forever drawing and smudging the picture, which made what was meant to be a quick sketch, a week long ordeal. However I do like how it finally turn out and I guess it was a good learning curve.

 I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Beautiful pencil work! Love the light and the mysterious atmosphere in the woods.

    1. Thank you for the comment Yara, I was trying to get a Fangorn Forest feel to it.

    1. Cheers Ted. Thank you for becoming my 3rd follower. I'll try not to let you down.

  3. Definitely weird! And cool! Neat work with the light. (Also, put a piece of scrap paper under your hand and you won't smudge as much!)

  4. Thanks for the comment Cindy. Yeah I do need to use that method more often, however I always find myself trying to beat the left handed smudging law only to be defeated by it again & again.
